Terms and Conditions:
Art By Design Computer Aided Drafting, LLC (ABDCAD,LLC) is a Design/Plan Drafting Service. 3d Visual Modeling is offered as an additional service. A contractual agreement specifying the scope of the work, cost of the service, and a description of the drawings provided to the Owner by ABDCAD,LLC shall be in place before any work begins. ABDCAD,LLC is not an Architectural Firm and makes no claim as such. The design drawings provided by ABDCAD,LLC are conceptual in nature and therefore may require additional engineering as specified or requested by the Owner, General Contractor, or local Building Official. ABDCAD,LLC makes every effort to provide drawings that are prepared for permitting, however, additional Architectural Code Review, Engineering including structural, electrical, mechanical, soils, and/or other professional consultation may be required to complete the design project.
Design / Drafting Fees:
ABDCAD,LLC Residential Design / Drafting Typical Fees:
New Construction including homes, garages, patios, and decks: $1.25 per square foot on the First Floor level and $1.00 per square foot for a Second Floor level or more.
For example: A single story 1600 S.F Home with a 750 S.F. Garage, and 200 S.F. of Covered Patio equals 2,550 S.F. Multiplied by $1.25 for a cost of $3,188.00. Add a 500 S.F Second Level to this plan, 500 S.F. Multiplied by $1.00 per square foot for a cost of $500.00.
New Construction including a finished basement: $.0.30 per square foot.
For example: using the 1600 S.F. home in the example above and adding a full basement equals 1600 S.F. Multiplied by $0.30 for a cost of $480.00.
Remodeling including Room Additions, Outdoor Decks, or Outdoor Living Areas: $3.00 per square foot of area.
For example: Using the existing 1600 S.F. Home, Garage, and Covered Patio in the example above and adding an 800 S.F. Room Addition equals 800 S.F. Multiplied by $3.00 for a cost of $2,400.00. Planning a remodeling project requires much more attention to the existing structure, property, and aesthetic conditions than new construction. The process is much more labor intensive requiring reproductions of the existing structure first, therefore the cost to produce a finished design is more.
Renovations including Kitchens, Baths, or other interior or unique renovation projects: Interior renovations are estimated on a per project basis only.
Reimbursable Expenses:
For prints and other deliverable products in excess of those listed on the Agreement:
Photocopies and Shipping charges - reimbursable at cost plus 10%
In House Prints: per page
Black & White 8.5 x 11 - $0.50 24x36 - $3.75
Architects, Engineers or Consultants are invoiced at cost plus 10%.
Travel costs are invoiced at $0.40 per mile from the office to the meeting or building site. Areas outside a 25 mile radius from Wiley, Colorado are subject to pay a mileage reimbursement at the current rate.
Extra Services and Hourly Rates
ABDCAD,LLC hourly rates, and hourly rates for services over and above the contracted amount (extra services) shall be negotiated prior to any additional work taking place and payable at the following hourly rates:
ABDCAD,LLC Design/Draftsman, $65.00 per hour for work performed including interactive design modification sessions, additional meetings, or additional consultation services at the request of the client.
ABDCAD,LLC Design / Draftsman, $65.00 per hour for consultation.
ABDCAD,LLC Staff, $50.00 per hour.
ABDCAD,LLC Staff Travel time, $40.00 per hour, per staff member.
3d Visual Modeling of interior or exterior images on photo paper. $15.00 each.
